Jason Bufford is the driving force of Tyler Grace Auctions and wears many hats. Most importantly he is a husband and father as well as a business owner, auctioneer, and a general personal property appraiser. Jason also manages the estate sale prep team and prices thousands of items weekly. When he isn’t working or spending time with his family he enjoys roaming across miles of Texas soil with his metal detector; always intrigued with the possibilities of what he might find.
As if all of these credentials weren’t enough, Jason is also an avid writer and an artist. He has already completed several novels and hopes to publish them all in the near future! Jason was born in Orange Texas and spent most of his childhood in the Lonestar State; however as a teenager his family relocated to Fort Smith Arkansas where he graduated high school and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.
Jason served in the USAF for 6 years and met his wife Amanda in October of 2002 while they were both deployed to Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia during Operation Enduring Freedom. After knowing each other for only 2 months they decided that their search for true love was over; they were married the day after Christmas in 2002. Jason moved to Maryland to accompany Amanda who was stationed at Andrews Air Force Base. While in Maryland Jason began working for a Ford dealership and quickly worked his way up from car salesman to sales manager and on to director of internet sales.
Once Amanda finished her military enlistment they moved to the DFW metroplex where Amanda was raised. Upon returning to Texas, Jason honed his appraisal skills as a buyer searching for anything he could triple his money re-selling on eBay. As re-sellers they decided that this industry was their life long passion and their focus quickly turned to building a life for their family while doing what they truly LOVE!
Although they own a very lucrative and successful estate sale company, Jason was always working towards opening his own auction house and making it the best in the great state of Texas and eventually the nation!
